We are pleased to continue supporting our community by presenting a cheque for $10,500 to the Local Food Banks of Alliston, Tottenham, and Angus. Each Food Bank will use their portion of the donation to restock their shelves following the busy Christmas season as well as provide additional support for their continuous efforts throughout the year. To date, with this donation, the Foundation has given a total of $321,000 to the three Food Banks. The demand on the Food Banks has been high this year, so do keep them in mind if you are able to donate. On Friday, December 4, 2020, the Nottawasaga Foundation presented a cheque for $2,500.00 to Sarah Hamby and her family. The Hamby’s daughter Sarah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was four-years-old, and has been receiving ongoing treatment for her cancer. At 11-years-old, this is now Sarah’s fifth battle and the donation from the Foundation will be used to assist the Hamby family in their recovery from the continued costs of her treatment. #GivingTuesday is just a week away and we're getting into the spirit early with our annual sponsorship pledge to all things fuzzy and cuddly! We've paired up with the Alliston & District Humane Society this year to present them with a cheque for $2000 to sponsor the Cat Condo, a Small Animal Cage, a Cat Cage and a Dog Cage for one year. The sponsorship will provide accommodations, food and medical care to homeless animals as well as support ongoing programs and services at the ADHS.
