New York post #2 Many years ago in Taiwan, Master Chio handed me a dvd of the Cheng Man-Ch'ing form and said, "learn this by next week." And I did, well kinda... I have been doing that same form for 15 years now with no instruction or even having anyone watching me do it since I left Taiwan. A couple of weeks ago, I connected with Master Inoshi (he doesn't like the title but I feel as though he deserves it) who is also a descendant of Cheng Man-Ch'ing but from the New York ...side (CMC divided his time between NY and Taiwan) http://eastwest.works/Home.html After watching me do the form he said, "you do alot of karate." We also went to a push hands class and yup, he also throws folks against walls. Inoshi has inspired me to delve back in to the art I once knew; might make my karate look funny for awhile (can't get any worse) but I'm sure it'll even out. So classes will be a little less "fighting" and little more Taichi going forward. Don't worry, we'll still be be chucking each other into walls but now we'll be all Taichi about it. Amazing Karate and Taichi training in New York the past couple of weeks. I don't know what I can say about Amos Sensei that hasn't already been said. The Hombu Dojo that he has created is such an amazing place to learn (alot of things, like not taking too long in the shower and that there is a glass door at the bottom of the stairs...) I will be back soon, hopefully with an improved Uchi Uke!

Classes this week and next are at 6:30 on Friday. We resume regularly scheduled programming on Tuesday, January 7th.
