PROVISIONS- We like to create unique dishes that eases your mealtime woes, this week we were inspired by the energy of winter- we needed a change to pick up our spirits a bit! We STUFFED RIGATONI with a vegan mixture of seared mushroom, Asian pesto, Nourish goat cheeze and served it in Nourish tomato sauce along with cheese/ cheeze. It is a lighter and nutrient rich alternative to traditional casseroles! We took the a simple ROASTED SQUASH and filled it with broccoli & to...fu and quinoa and allowed the simple umami filled flavours of our Bulgogi sauce do its thing! This is a definite try! LETTUCE WRAPS- I mean there’s not much words needed here... we created K BBQ aka Korean BBQ options with beef or broccoli & tofu MAC N CHEEZE- our favourite GF vegan mac’n’cheeze is back in Nourish market as well! FREEZER- currently stocked with broth (vegan and meat), GF flatbreads, marinated chicken wings, duck steam buns, Tex mex lasagna (GF and vegan as well!), handmade dumplings (GF and vegan options too!) Let’s not forget the many sacrifices made by veterans today and in the past. When I think about food during the first and second world war, I think about the creativity it would’ve taken everyday. The rationing of things we take for granted today. Things like sugar, milk, eggs. I think about how all those women and men fought nourished by food we probably wouldn’t even eat now. It’s humbling. So, I want to thank all of the veterans who have made sacrifices so that a Taiwanese woman could raise a family and run a business in her adopted country. We will not forget.
