Fun Fact: I RARELY edit in Monochrome. The last time I edited in Monochrome was probably back in 2017. So what's the reasoning? First reason is I find Monochrome editing to be a strong visual storyteller. There has to be a some sort of backstory or even a hidden message behind the photo for it to qualify for Monochrome. Does this style of editing work for every photo? I'd think so, yeah. Not to mention it's quite easy to do. Second reason is I like to play with colors. Abou...t 98% of my edits do not use natural colors. There's always some kind of purple or blue tinge to them. Some people may not like the slight color tinge and unnatural look but art is subjective and that's what makes it exciting for me. People's opinions and criticism expand my creativity and I really appreciate it <3. And lastly! I find editing in Monochrome... lazy. This may trigger some people but hear me out for a sec. There are some photos that may look "broken".. whether they're underexposed, overexposed, have a ridiculous amount of noise, or just too many colors that the human subject looks like an alien. Turning the photo black and white is the easy way out... and yes, I've done this before ! Some editors do not take the time or put in the effort to play with the colors and overall adjustments to expand their creativity. There's a million different ways to tweak the photo in color to get some mindblowing results! On top of that, a new style of editing might come out of taking the time to edit "broken" colored photos. Anyways, these are my personal opinions and they're very subjective. You may agree or disagree. But by the end of the day, photography is a beautiful art form with many different roads leading to many different and unique creations.

Finally had the chance to take the Sony A7III out for a portrait session. At first it was quite overwhelming at how much more features it has compared to my Nikon DSLR. I had my head scratching for the first 48 hours but I think I got it now... Keywords: I THINK! . Also, I was gonna hold off from buying the Sony 85 mm lens till I sell my Nikon kit... But I couldn't wait and went out to grab the freakin thing LOL. It was a pricey piece of glass but it's definitely worth it.
