Residents of the 500 block are fed up! Tenants are living five people to a room because ceilings are caving in, families and seniors are going without heat and have been living with bedbugs for YEARS. MetCap and Northview REIT are refusing to do repairs and treat pests in their buildings, so tenants are marching from their buildings to the property management office across the street to demand action.... Come out to support the tenants of the 500 block next Tuesday at 12pm!!

But temporary rent control is meaningless if landlords can continue to raise rents and drive tenants from their homes once the pandemic is over! We need permanent rent control!
