You've heard of Taco Tuesday (yum), Toonie Tuesday (we miss you), but now it's time you hear about TRADE & TECH TUESDAY! That's right. We invented a day-phrase-...thing Join Chris each Tuesday when he chats about a different trade or tech and shares with you (and his adorable cat, "Small Cat"... yeah we know, that's his name... long story) why he thinks that career is so great! It's light, fun, filmed very much at home & who knows, maybe you'll learn something! Or at least smile when you see Small Cat Also check out this AMAZING resource from the Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council on what it takes to become a carpenter: https://www.nscsc.ca/Documents/paths/CPCarpenter.pdf Build Right Nova Scotia #SkillsAtHome #ASkillsChat #SmallCat #SkilledTrades #Technologies Skills Canada / Compétences Canada

The United Nations declares March 21 as The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Did you know this Day was first observed in 1966? We...’ve come a long way in half a decade, but there is still a great distance to go in order to eliminate racial discrimination in our communities, our country, indeed in the world in which we live. The NSAA has pledged to foster a more inclusive and equitable apprenticeship system in our province. Check out of Diversity and Inclusion framework here https://www.nsapprenticeship.ca//docs/pubs/diversity-repor As we go about our daily lives at work, at home, and the places where we live, let’s be more aware of our own unconscious bias, and be respectful of one another. Most of all, let’s celebrate our diversities and be leaders in our workplaces and communities to advance the elimination of racial discrimination.
