This weekend we hosted a technical rope rescue course at our department. Both North Oyster Fire Department and Ladysmith Fire Rescue members learned valuable skills from an excellent instructor team provided by Dynamic Rescue.

As of noon today, Friday Sept. 25th, 2020 the BC Wildfire Service will rescind its ban on open burning. This means all Category 2&3 open burning will once again be allowed on the North Oyster Fire Department Protection Area.
