Flynn's Forest Indoor Playground has launched their 5th Flynn’s Gets Festive for the families at Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan. Each year since opening in 2016, they have collected new items under our tree and the week before Christmas our family delivers them to the Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon (RMH-SK). The RMH holds a special place in my heart now. In July of 2019 my daughter needed open heart surgery. We stayed at The Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton. I wa...s fortunate that our stay was short (and I was able to leave them an extra donation upon leaving). Flynn’s collects items that have been for the most part brought in by amazing and generous customers. Flynn’s also orders in special seasonal and large Beanie Boos just for the purposes of donating to RMH-SK. They also have each customer who brings in a donation enter their name for giveaways, usually Flynn’s prizes like Ty items, free passes and gift cards, as incentive and thanks for the donations. Due to COVID, Flynn’s is not seeing nearly as many customers as they would usually see this season and we know this will likely have a great impact on the amount of gifts under our tree. We also know many families and businesses are facing stressful and financially hard times and understandably may not be able to donate this year. So I thought I’d spread the word to all of you! If you can afford to donate a small toy it can be dropped off this week at Flynn’s or Novo Esthetics Studio. I’ll be taking donations over on Monday December 21st. Vicki

Our most recent Skin Essence Organics order arrived yesterday. Big thanks to David for sending me this video to share with all of you. I love this brand for a few reasons outside of the obvious. The ingredients are simple blends that make sense, and are easy to read for the average consumer. When I first started Novo I wanted to bring in brands that not only worked well - but also felt affordable and accessible. This skin care line is a good choice for anyone starting... to think about a skin care regime for the first time because it doesn’t contain an overwhelming amount of products. Let’s talk budget too. Yesterday was Global Women's Entrepreneurship Day. I am grateful to know so many amazing Female Entrepreneurs. As I transition into my 30s, I value female friendships and connections in new ways. I value collaboration over competition, and it's amazing how many like minded women I've had the privilege of connecting with. I want to see us all succeed. Sugaring is commonly preferred over waxing because the hair can be removed at a shorter length of growth, allowing for better long term results. Some clients even say that sugaring is less painful that waxing. When you book for this service, Your practitioner will remove the paste from the container with a clean, gloved hand. The paste is then spread against the natural direction of growth, and removed with the direction of growth in a swift flicking motion. Removing the hair in the direction or growth ensures little to no hair breakage. Is your skin sensitive? Body sugaring is very gentle! The sugar will only adhere to dead skin cells and hair. It is warmed only to room temperature making it safe for diabetic clients or those who might have varicose veins. There’s also less waste involved than traditional waxing. We use the ball method of Body Sugaring, which means that the same piece of paste can be used for multiple sections of the skin. After the treatment both the paste, and the glove are safely discarded.
