Police trying to locate lost child Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a child that has gone missing in Halifax. At approximately 12:15 p.m. ...police received a report that an approximately 5-year-old girl was missing. The girl had been playing at the beach on Kearney Lake near Hamshaw Drive. The girl is described as white, under 4’, slim build with brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a dark peach/maroon one-piece bathing suit. The young girl left behind a pair of denim shorts with pink and green embroidery, a blue t-shirt with Let’s go Ninja written on it, a pair of swim goggles and a single key. Police are asking anyone with information about the young girl or her whereabouts to contact police at 902-490-5020.
