Velvet 1 year old Female - spayed ... This adorable bun loves to explore, and play with her toys. She can often be found throwing her things around and rearranging her kennel to the way she likes! She is working hard on her litterbox training, and is doing quite well! She is very social, and loves to meet new people. She would likely be ok with other bunnies as long as she is properly introduced to them. If you are interested in meeting any of our adoptable animals, please follow the online adoption process on our website: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/ Please note that our shelter is closed for walk-ins due to COVID-19, so if you are interested in adopting please schedule an appointment.

Happy tails update! Did you need a reason to smile today? Look no further! Twizzler (now known as Gizmo) was brought into our shelter as a tiny kitten by CARMA who found him living outside. He was quite sick at first, and was struggling to keep weight on. Fortunately with the help of our great vets and a loving foster home, he started to feel much better and was able to find his forever home. His new family is continuing to make sure he is feeling happy and healthy! ... I just wanted to share an update on Twizzler, who we renamed Gizmo He is the sweetest little cat and has captured all of our hearts! He is so calm and cuddly. I still can’t get over his loud engine purring. Our cat Ninja has really taken to him too and they are good buds. He’s eating lots and gaining weight! Healthy and happy. Thanks much again for all you did for him. We love him so much! Congrats Gizmo and family!

Meredith was extremely shy and introverted. She watched as other pets came to the SPCA and left adopted. We hoped for a family to see Meredith’s full potential. Along came Shannon, a clinical psychologist who works with people who have experienced trauma. Shannon used her kind nature and expertise to help Meredith go from feeling skittish to secure. UPDATE: Piper has been adopted! Meet Piper! 1 year old ... Female - spayed Piper is a sweet but shy little girl who loves to play. She has lots of energy and loves to run around the house full speed and play with her toys. Piper is quite shy at first, but once she warms up to you she is very sweet. She isn’t overly fond of being held and cuddled, she prefers to get a head pat in between play times. She may be ok with other pets as long as she is slowly introduced to them. Levi 2 years old Male-neutered ... Handsome Levi has had a rough start to life, and after a long road he is finally ready to find his forever. When Levi first came to our shelter, he was covered in fleas and had barely any fur left on his back from them. It was also clear he was having some issues with his eye. Our vets immediately began treating Levi to help him feel better - and he has been a wonderful patient! Levi is more than happy to spend his day napping in sunny spots, and playing with his toys. He is feeling a lot better now, and is ready to meet his new family! Could you be Levi's new family? Levi does have a minor medical condition with his eye, which requires daily eye drops to help keep his eye healthy. These eye drops are very affordable, and last a long time! For more information on Levi, please email us at [email protected] or (902) 396-3595 If you'd like to meet Levi, please follow our online adoption process here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/ Please note our shelter is closed for walk ins due to COVID-19, so to schedule an appointment you must fill out an online application.

Meet Misty! 5 years old Female - spayed ... This sweet girl is looking for a home to call her own. She was very scared and depressed when she first came to us, but after some time and reassurance she is feeling much better. She is very affectionate, and although she is shy, once she is used to you she loves to cuddle. She would make a great pet for a single person or a couple who are wanting to add a quiet kitty to their family. Due to her skittish nature a quiet home would be best. We have learned that Misty is terrified of other animals and would do best in a home without them. Misty has long fur that needs to be brushed every so often to keep it tangle free If you’d like to meet Misty, please follow our online adoption process here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/ Please note our shelter is closed for walk ins due to COVID-19, so to schedule an appointment you must fill out an online application.

UPDATE: Reggie has been adopted! Reggie 5 months old ... Male - neutered Reggie is a very nervous boy who needs a very quiet, patient home. Reggie would benefit from someone who is experienced with timid cats, it will take him quite some time to warm up and trust. In the right home we think he will blossom into a wonderful companion. Due to reggies very nervous nature, we think he would do best in a home with no dogs or young children, but may be ok with another cat. If you're interested in meeting Reggie, please follow our online adoption process here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/ Please note our shelter is currently closed for walk ins due to COVID-19, so to meet Boo you must schedule an appointment by following our online adoption process.

Update: Boo has been adopted! <3 Meet Boo! 7 years old ... Male - neutered This sweet guy is so full of love. He is always purring and asking for head rubs! He loves napping on the top of his cat tree, but will come down to greet us when someone comes into the room. He is used to living with other pets, but his previous owners let us know Boo would do best in a home with just one or two other pets as he can get overwhelmed with a lot of company. He hasn’t been around children but we think he would be ok with gentle kids! Boo is a big kitty with long hair, he will need to be brushed often to keep his fur tangle free and comfortable for him Boo has had some issues with his ear where it has gotten infected, although it is all better now and no longer on medication for it, his new owner will need to be aware and keep an eye on his ears to make sure no more issues reoccur! If you're interested in meeting Boo, please follow our online adoption process here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/Please note our shelter is currently closed for walk ins due to COVID-19, so to meet Boo you must schedule an appointment by following our online adoption process.
