I am very sorry to share the sad news of the passing this morning of Gordie Gosse, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Everybody -- everybody -- liked Gordie... Gosse. His big-hearted warmth reflected the best of the Cape Breton that he loved, and his out-sized friendliness embodied the heart of the New Democratic Party. Nova Scotia's New Democrats plan to focus squarely on the financial concerns of Cape Breton Regional Municipality when the legislative session resumes on Thursday.

Thank you so much to those who supported my campaign. We increased the NDP's vote and have helped to start a conversation about saving our hospital. The choice is very clear in this byelection. As Conservatives sit on the sideline, while Liberals close hospitals, the best way to send a message and to keep our hospital open is to vote NDP tomorrow!
