Happy Friday! We know it’s been a little while, but we wanted to touch base and provide an update. Our staff is safe, healthy, and working to provide care to all of our patients with some new measures in place. We continue to offer curb side pick up for prescriptions, as well as free delivery to all of our patients. Enjoy this long weekend, remember to practice social distancing, and call us if you need anything.... Stay safe! NuCare Staff
We would like to send out a sincere thank you to the extremely talented Chris Meyers for playing for our residents at Karwood Retirement on Facebook live. Chris has generously donated his time to bring some entertainment to the residents and staff during this very difficult time. As a token of our appreciation for Chris, NuCare will be making a donation to SeniorsNL - helping seniors fund, where they assist seniors in need who can not access timely assistance for basic necessities like food. SeniorsNL is a local organization that connects seniors and those that support them to programs and services to help them make informed decisions. Donations can be made at www.seniorsnl.ca ! Thank you Chris!

Public Advisory: Access to Pharmacy Services in St. John's for Monday, January 20th I was recently advised that the City of St. John's would not be permitting p...harmacies to open tomorrow. I, along with officials with Eastern Health, have spoken with Mayor Breen and city staff about access to health services for residents of St. John's. As a result of our conversation, Mayor Breen has agreed to allow some pharmacies to open for short periods tomorrow. I ask for your patience as more information will be provided as it becomes available. I would like to thank Mayor Breen and staff with the City of St. John's for their efforts this weekend. Residents who require emergency services are asked to call 911. Residents may also call the NL Health Line at 811 to speak with a registered nurse. Anyone requiring Mental Health supports can contact the 24 hour Mental Health Crisis Line at 1-888-737-4668 or the CHANNAL Peer Support Warm Line (available 11 am to 11 pm) at 1-855-753-2560. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
We have been advised by the Newfoundland Pharmacy Board that all pharmacies are to remain closed until the state of emergency has been lifted. In the case of an emergency health care situation, the public are advised to contact their nearest emergency hospital department.

The simple things are sometimes the best things. Hope your weekend is filled with these tiny moments. Happy Friday y’all!
Pain is personal.
Custom compounding for pain is something we’re passionate about. Our clinical pharmacists at the Opioid Treatment Center have seen the opioid crisis in Newfoundland first hand. We’re ready to offer alternatives to patients experiencing pain. Did you know medications such as anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, and nerve medications can be offered in a topical cream to apply directly to the site of pain? Customizing these medications allows us to use ingredients and strengths that are tailored to you, specifically. Contact our pharmacists. We’re here to help.
