Great to see NUFA Members out in support of education workers at today’s rally.

We are very pleased to announce that the 2019-2022 tentative agreement for our Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit has been ratified by the membership. 100% of those voting voted in favour of the new agreement. Thank you to our Collective Bargaining Committee for all of their hard work in securing new collective agreements for both CASBU and FASBU.

We are very pleased to announce that our Collective Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative three year agreement with the University for the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit. Congratulations to our team--though bargaining began in March with FASBU, the committee members have been working on these agreements for over 18 months. A special thank you to all of our Members for their support and encouragement.

It’s great to see NUFA members out on the line in #solidarity with OSSTF today as they undertake a one day strike. OSSTF members are fighting many of the same fights as we are, against enforced wage restraint and precarious labour, and many of them are also our alumni. The NUFA Executive has unanimously recommended a tentative settlement for a renewal Collective Agreement to the full-time faculty at Nipissing University for ratification. There will be a Special Membership meeting on Thursday the 24th to discuss the package, followed by three business days of voting.
