Listugujewaq Youth are hosting a strategic planning session tomorrow, November 9, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Council Chambers. This session is a grassroots initiative led by youth leaders in our community to begin a discussion on establishing a Youth Council in Listuguj. All youth are welcome to attend. Hudson Barnaby is a 17-year-old athlete from Listuguj. Hudson is currently in Victoria, BC with the National Team Canada U18 Boys Rugby Team. He was one of the 60 selected from over 200 rugby players across Canada in mid-October to represent the team in San Diego California during the Christmas break of 2018. He was then selected from the 60 players to represent Team Canada once again, with a squad of 24 players, which will play a few games against Team USA during the two-wee...k training camp. Hudson was also selected to play with the Atlantic Rock U19 Men’s Team which is based out of Saint John’s NFLD. They recently went on an Ireland Rugby Tour for 2 weeks where they played against some rugby teams from Dublin and surrounding areas. Hudson will be attending Nationals in Saint John’s NFLD from July 25th to August 10th. Once he gets back from NFLD, he will be heading to Kingston, ON with the Team NB U18 Boys for Nationals during the 3rd week of August. Let’s wish him well on his summer adventures!
