It aims to honor and appreciate nurses for all their hard work and essential contributions to the medical field, while raising awareness about nursing as a profession. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, neuroscience student Rowaida Hussein and classmates in her #Dementia class came together to create SAGE (Student Association for Geriatric Empowerment) to help stave off loneliness in seniors. "One resident, whose first language was Mandarin, got on Zoom with a student who also spoke it. The way these two strangers connected, smiling and singing in their native language, was a moment of joy completely outside the pandemic." Read more about heartwarming story here
