When it comes to care, look no further than Laurel Purghart. LPN of 33 years, Laurel joined #NurseNextDoor in 2011 before joining HeartQuarters in 2016. From there she's become a Care Designer and is #MakingLivesBetter everyday. We asked Laurel what our #PeoplePromise means to her and she said, "Nurse Next Door has allowed me to be the compassionate and caring nurse I was trained to be. I'm able to look after and support our clients throughout their individual journey, because each senior is unique in how they choose to age. I have the job of my dreams, I get to make a difference in people's lives every day!" What promise do you make to your team? Comment
She is 73, has osteoporosis, psoriatic arthritis, and as of Saturday, is a fifth-degree black belt and officially a karate master. I thought, ‘I am marrying a crazy guy!’ she said.... After Jim's passing, Brenda decided to pursue this achievement and honor his memory. Read the full story below

COVID-19 has impacted all of us, but especially nurses who are on the frontline. Our latest blog reflects on the impact they've had in the post pandemic era. #MakingLivesBetter

Happy #NursesWeek Featured today is Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Brittany Pratico. Her 8 year journey with #NurseNextDoor started in Victoria, BC as an LPN and continued in 2013 when she moved to Vancouver and was hired by the local Franchise. 2 and a half years ago her role evolved and she became a #CareAmbassador (like our friend, Pooja!) ... She's grown in her role since and is now a #CareDesigner at HeartQuarters and we're thrilled to have someone as seasoned and compassionate as her in the role. "I love the work I do because I feel I am making a difference in people’s lives. I am providing that peace of mind to clients and their families. I am flexible in managing my time and I am able to be a mom and spend time with my family. I am able to have balance with Nurse Next Door." ------ What promise do you make to your team? Comment
