Steady friend; eyes on Jesus.
Are you pursuing the Lover of your soul?
Nurses are encouragers! Who are you called to encourage today?
What's the Question?? The other day I shared a quote I saw on someone's Facebook page. It read, "when you're going through something hard and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always silent during a test". I thought that was such a brilliant answer for an age-old question. And it was brilliant until that moment when I was in my next test and I realized: I don't know what the question is! How can you pass the test when you don't know what the question is? ... I find that usually, in these "tests of life and faith" we have a question of our own: why am I going through this Lord? What possible purpose and outcome could be worth enduring this test? We are right to ask this question I believe, because God is purposeful. He wastes nothing. No trial or challenge or brokenness deters His plans for us, plans to give us hope and a future. Quite the contrary; what was meant for evil, He turns to good. It's His signature move and ain't no one able to do it like our God. Once we understand this, it becomes our hope, our anchor in the storm. We cling to the knowledge that with every battering of our lifeboat, with every wave that threatens to capsize us, our hope is that - even shipwrecked - our Anchor will hold us fast. So when the storm has ceased to rage and the waters are still once more, when we can stop and take inventory of what is left, that is when we see the rewards of staying the course: stronger faith, deeper trust, greater hope. So no matter the test, great or small, from the first test to the last test and every test in between, one thing we can be sure of, with Master God as our teacher we can be sure that every test begins with the same question: Will you trust Me?
Spoiler Alert!!
