I have been asked a few times about crib to big bed transition! This can be fun but also challenging. 2 of my kids were easy and 1 was a jerk I wrote this for @babychick and it might help if you are going through this transition!

Dear Body, I am sorry I have been so hard on you. I have critiqued every dimple, every stretch mark, every weird bump, everything.... I have said that parts of you look like an orange peel. I have said you look saggy. I have cried when looking at you in the mirror. I have looked at jeans that didn't fit and blamed your for that. I have squeezed and grabbed you out of frustration in ways I would never touch somebody else. I have said things to you that would crush another person if I said it to them. I have been wrong. What I haven't done is say THANK YOU. Thank you for allowing me to wake up each morning. Thank you for strong arms that have held all 3 of my babies countless hours a day. Thank you for allowing me to feed and care for my babies when they were tiny and vulnerable. Thank you for a healthy delivery. Thank you for healing me emotionally and physically after having my babies. Thank you for strong legs that allow me to run and play with my kids. Thank you for being feminine and perfect for the man who loves every part of me. Thank you for the strength to make hard choices when needed. Thank you for letting me watch sunsets and lightning storms. Thank you for letting me soak in the outdoors. Thank you for helping me take each day 1 at a time even when I felt the days were too hard. Thank you for not giving up on me when I had given up on you. To my body, I love you!

Do Newborns have a bedtime? Not exactly! Bedtime for a newborn, 0-3 months, refers to the time that your baby falls asleep and stays asleep for a long stretch. This is usually somewhere between 9-11 P.M.... Your new baby does not have matured sleep cycles and so is continuing patterns that they had when in the womb. Remember when you would finally tuck in for the night and they would be jumping around on your bladder! It is normal for your newborn to be fussy in the early evening and they may even take a nap or two. The more restful sleep will happen later in the evening. Once your baby is 3.5-4 months we will see bedtime drastically shift earlier as their sleep cycles mature. How many weeks old is your newborn?
