#TipTuesday // Real Christmas trees are recyclable and renewable! Be ecology-friendly and donate to a tree recycler, or use the wood chips for mulch when temperatures warm in the spring. Recycling your tree is a great way to stay off of the naughty list in 2021: https://hubs.ly/H0Dg-VP0
#TipTuesday // During the winter, it's important to store your lawn care products in a dry, warm, and moisture-free area, preferably located somewhere indoors. Products that are left outside have the potential to freeze and expire, which could make them unusable come springtime. It's also a good idea to place bags of grass seed and fertilizer from your shed in secure rubber-made containers, so that mice and other animals don't get into them. #TipTuesday // When you have done the last mow (in mid to late November unless you live on the West Coast) you will likely be happy to put your lawn mower away for the winter. But before you store it, a little service now can save you from much aggravation next spring. We recommend you follow these service steps for gas mowers, and please remember to disconnect the ignition wire from the spark plug before starting any maintenance, to avoid injury. - Clean or replace spark plu...g. Remove the spark plug and check the electrode for corrosion and dirt. Clean, or replace with a new plug. - Check the oil. It’s a good idea to change the oil now, and again after every 25-hours of running time. - Clean or replace the air filter. Unscrew the bolt that holds the air cleaner. Replace with a new one. Foam filters that are not too dirty can be rinsed clean in warm water and reinstalled when dry. Want to learn even more? Check in next Tuesday as we finish off our Fall Lawn Mower Maintenance tips!
