Question Received: Hi...... I'm wanting to try growing a medical strain of cannabis called ACDC . I'm kinda new to growing but have ordered the seeds. I've heard that it liked calcium magnesium in its fertilization, and I'm assuming the usual fertilizers required throughout it's growing cycle. My product contains the Macro-Nutrients needed for the various phases of growth. Namely: Nitrogen(N), Phosphorus(P2O5) and Potassium(K20) and they are the essentials Macro-nutrients. There are 3 separates envelopes, each containing different ratios needed for the different cycles. What you are talking about are the Micro-Nutrients. (Called Micro as they are needed in a much lesser quantity, But are still as important.) So my product does also contain Micro-Nutrients, namely Magnesium(Mg) and sulfur(S), but no Calcium since Calcium(Ca) does not mix well with Magnesium(Mg). What i usually do is: Use a rich soil mix and add about one cup of Dolomite Lime (Calcium source) per about 5 gallons of soil. It has two benefits: It adds slowly dissolving calcium pellets in the soil for the plants, and it reduces soil and water PH. Both recommenced for this type of plants! You can find Dolomitic Lime (dolomite) at any hardware store (Home Depot) for about 5$ for a few kilos. I hope this answer your question. A legitimate question.
