Stress Busting Nutrition: Why is nutrition so important during times of stress? Stress rapidly depletes nutrients ( especially vitamin C & Bs), increases adrenal activity , and reduces protective antibodies- just a few points. Choose HIGH NUTRIENT FOODS, drink lots of water to help circulate nutrients. Some foods to choose: Complex carbs; High Fibre; Citrus Fruits; Porbiotics: Fatty oils ( choose OMEGA 3- since it fights inflammation). If you have any questions please reach out.

Just checking in. How is everyone doing with the stay at home order? What positive thing did you decide to do for yourself? I have started my decluttering and am continuing to exercise. I have also looked into other on-line courses. I know Terry is appreciating some of the baking I have done ( not known for it). Please remember your physical and mental health. Take care.

At 12:01 AM Saturday we are moving into a 28 day "emergency brake". There will be many negative aspects of this step but, as the vaccines ramp up, we hope will reverse the curve. It's easy to be negative but I want to suggest, perhaps challenge, each of you to choose at least 1 POSTIVE THING TO DO FOR YOURSELF over the next 28 days. It doesn't have to be big. Maybe add 5 minutes to your walk. Spend a few minutes meditating. Improve your mood, sense of peace, by decluttering ...( my personal goal). Try a new recipe. Whatever you choose please make sure it's positive for you. Do not focus on the negative. If there is a food that is your weakness do not decide to never eat it again ( unless you are allergic) just try to limit it and replace part of it with something healthier. I have one more favour to ask of you. If you are comfortable please share your experiences on this site. As we hear about others' successes and fun it will inspire each of us. See more

I think it's obvious that Pandemic Fatigue has set in. People seem to not be paying as much attention to the health guidelines. I know it's frustrating but please try to practise social distancing, hand washing and wearing of masks. We have been bombarded with negative views and reactions but there can be many positive things happen because of the pandemic. For example, this is probably the first time in a very long time that most of us have had the time to plan and prepare our own meals while not on the run. Also, we should be able to carve out some "me" time to exercise and reflect. Also, at least in this era of technology we can still stay in contact with our friends and loved ones. I challenge each of you to think and do something positive each day. Let's help each other.
