North Vancouver City Fest 30.10.2020

Please help us share our big news: ‘CityFest at The Shipyards’ is changing to ‘CityFest at Home,’ an online celebration of North Shore youth. AirPods, Disney+ subscriptions, skateboards, longboards, and lots of legit prizes up for grabs. On May 2, use #cityfestathome on Instagram and post yourself doing something amazing in skateboarding, longboarding, music, dance, art, baking, cooking, spoken word, film, animation, magic, improv, fashion, stand-up, or anything you can think of. Together, we are supporting social distancing while still celebrating our amazing North Shore youth, Ages 10 to 24. Calling all youth volunteers! We need you! CityFEST 2019 happens Saturday, May 4 at Lonsdale Skate Park. To volunteer at CityFEST, all youth need to attend a mandator training session and meeting on Thursday, May 2 at North Shore Alliance Church from 3:30 - 5:30pm. (Address is 201 East 23rd Street, North Vancouver, BC, V7N1H5).... At this meeting, you will receive instructions about the day, training, and the safety plan. You will then sign up for the 4 mandatory hours of service at CityFEST, 2 of the hours must be at clean up at the end of the day, or set up at the start of the day. Then the other 2 hours can be done at some of the various options at the festival. BBQ booth, cotton candy booth, pizza sales booth, bubble soccer, etc. You will receive confirmation of your volunteer hours with a minimum of 6 hours over the Thursday and Saturday. If any of you work longer hours on the day of the festival we will gladly sign off your hours of service.

CityFEST 2019 Auditions are this Friday April 5th. Come and show us your talent between 2pm and 7pm at the North Shore Alliance Church. See you there!

North Vancouver City Fest 09.09.2020

The countdown is on to CityFest 2019: Saturday, May 4 at Lonsdale Skate Parka festival for youth, by youth. Become a CityFest Youth Ambassador and earn 40 to 100 volunteer hours by creating the largest youth festival in B.C. Youth Ambassador interviews happen on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 3:30 p.m. (or as soon as you can) at North Shore Alliance. We have 10 to 15 spots available. Our committee meets twice monthly, leading up to the event (on Thursdays, after school at North Shore... Alliance), plus sub-committee meetings once or twice per month, on one of: Skateboard & Longboard Performing Arts Visual Arts & Film Food Promo Youth Leadership Team members and youth workers will conduct brief interviewsjust show up and fill out an application when you arrive (application questions attached, if you want to read or fill out in advance). Then, we will have our first large group meeting. We should be all done by around 5:00 p.m. Spread the word? Please forward this info to one good Youth Ambassador candidate.
