Usership has fallen off this past 4 weeks as many folks have taken vacation and left the city. As a commuter ferry intended to move people to work and back, we expect September to be a busy month as people get back into the groove of things.... The NWA Ferry will run until the end of October, or, until the public docks are removed. To our regulars, we appreciate your support and understanding. OPENING SOON! Tuesday June 4th FREE PASSAGE UPDATE: The floating wharf at Jubilee has been installed. We are now able to start the Ferry service... As a gesture to the community, in appreciation of everyone's support and patience, we are offering FREE PASSAGE TO EVERYONE for the entire First week of operation!!! Yes FREE! Come on down to the dock anytime during our hours of operation and catch the ferry for free. Opening day will be Tuesday, June 4th, the first departure leaves at 7:00am from the North side of Dingle Park, to the bottom of Jubilee road, and every 15 minutes thereafter. The Ferry will run between 7:00am and 10:00am, and again between 3:30pm and 6:00pm, Tuesday- Friday. Hours of operation may be adjusted in the future to better accommodate commuters. The new NWA Ferry is ready and waiting, all we require is the new dock at Jubilee road. We are told HRM is 95% confident in installation by the end of this month We will continue to keep you updated!

Jubilee/St.Mary's Update: We have not been given permission to use the St Mary's floating docks while we wait for Jubilee to be installed. We are waiting to hear back from HRM on the installation of Jubilee, and when it will be ready for use.... The Ferry is ready to go. All we need is a place to land on the Halifax side. NWA Ferry Public Information Meeting- Thursday May 2 4:00-7:00 pm @ The Dingle We will be setting up in the upper parking lot at the Dingle, close to the canteen/washrooms to answer questions about the NWA Ferry, route, schedule, price, ect. We should also have an update on the status of the Jubilee dock, which as of now has yet to be installed. ... We are ready to open just as soon as we have a place to land commuters on the Halifax side! See more

The Jubilee dock has yet to be installed, we are waiting to hear from the city if we can use the St Mary's boat club in the meantime. We will be open as soon as we have a place to land on the Halifax side. As of now the city does not know when the Jubilee dock will be installed. We plan to hold a public information meeting one evening this week at the Dingle to answer any and all questions about the Ferry, (route, departure times, passes, ect).... Stay tuned!

Hello everyone! The ferry is set to make its first departure just as soon as HRM has the floating docks in place (Dingle and Jubilee Road). We are told to expect them by May 1st. Should HRM install sooner, we are ready to go! Stay tuned for start date, pricing and schedule!

Hello everyone, Here is a petition in support of HRM installing a floating dock at Oakland road. (This will make the ferry service more efficient and bring ticket prices down) Should you wish to print out a copy and collect signatures, your support would be much appreciated! Once this dock is installed, it will be available to everyone to use for years to come. I will need to collect by the end of this week. ... If you have any signatures to submit I will happily come pick them up! Thank you for your support
