Robert O Young DSc, PhD, Naturopathic Practitioner and Galina Migalko, MD, NMD Abstract The pH of the body fluids is the most important key factor in regulating ALL cellular functions such as electron transport activity and acid/base regulation of the interstitial fluids of the Interstitium organ to maintain the healthy function of ALL body cells that make up every organ, gland and tissue of the human body. Therefore, to keep normal healthy cell function, the pH of the body fluids, including the blood plasma, interstitial fluids of the Interstitium and the intracellular fluids should be maintained constant at a 7.365 pH by specific body organs and organ systems. The most important body organ for regulating ALL body fluids is the stomach and the most important organ system we call, The Alkaline Buffering System or the Alkaphile System. Sodium bicarbonate production by the cover cells of the stomach lining are distributed by the Alkaphile System. This system includes glands and organs such as the salivary glands, the pylorus glands, the Lieberkühn glands, Brunner glands and the pancreas. They are responsible for maintaining the alkaline design of all the body fluids in order for normal functioning of all body cells. The maintaining of the alkaline design of the body fluids at 7.365 is significant in the prevention of any serious acidic condition that can eventually lead to all inflammatory conditions, so-called viral infections, induration, ulceration and/or degenerative conditions such as hardening of the arteries, stroke, heart disease leading to heart attacks, all cancers and all neurological diseases. We have recently discovered that the pH of the interstitial fluids of the Interstitium organ is less than normal in the conditions of lupus, diabetes, coronary heart disease, breast, prostate, lung, brain, liver, bowel, bladder, kidney, stomach, thyroid and brain cancers and in all neurological diseases, such as dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. In our review article, we introduce the importance of a specific alkaline pH of the interstitial fluids of the Interstitum organ (the largest organ of the human body) found in healthy patients without symptomologies compared to those who have diagnosed acute or chronic health conditions due to the declining pH of the interstitial fluids causing decompensated acidosis of the Interstitium fluids, effecting every organ, every gland and every tissue that these fluids pass through, finally leading to the genesis of ALL sickness and disease. Further, this review article proposes a unique non-invasive interestitial fluid quantitative test we call the Living Interstitium Fluid Environmental Test or L.I.F.E. Test for a complete chemistry, including the pH of the Interstitial fluids for determining the potential genesis or the genesis of any sickness or disease. Finally, we have offered perspective alkalizing therapies on the basis of the regulation of the pH of the interstitial fluids of the Interstitum in the prevention, treatment and reversal of sickness and disease, including inflammatory, degenerative, neurological and so-called infectious diseases.
