Communities throughout the Northwest have come together to support the evacuees from Red Lake. For those unaware, Red Lake Fire 49 caused a mass evacuation of the entire municipality. Especially challenging during a pandemic, the spirit of community has not been diminished. Thanks to all who have provided so much to so many in need.
Hello Everyone! Please make note that the next Northwest Response Forum, which was scheduled for 2021, will now be held in spring of 2022. The planning committee is made up of emergency management professionals who are currently dedicating considerable time and effort to support their community's and/or organization's response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In order to bring everyone the quality product you have come to expect, it is important to have adequate planning time and this change will allow us the opportunity to do so. We regret having to make this decision and apologize for any inconvienence this may cause. We look forward to seeing you in 2022.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Tim Irish, OFMEM Fire Advisor based out of Thunder Bay. Tim was an amazing man and a mentor to many. He will be missed and remembered always.
