From the Northwest Territories to Victoria, BC, Terry Sapp, graduating this month with a Bachelor of Education degree in Indigenous Language Revitalization educ...ates and inspires communities everywhere she goes. In her home community of Deh Gáh Got'e First Nation in Fort Providence NWT, Terry was one of the participants in the first ever UVic Language Revitalization Program held in her region. She has passion for Dene Langauge, culture and teaching younger generations. "I am very interested in my roots as an Indigenous mother and now an educator in my community," she says. "My interest in education and helping my community led me to complete my degree at UVic." With a Bachelor degree under her belt, Terry is now working at a school in her home community, teaching in her language as a certified teacher. Congratulations, Terry!
