Single leg rack pulls are an advanced exercise that can be done once you've built up enough strength and coordination in your program. They are much more difficult then they look. This is a great exercise to build the hamstrings and glutes as well as upper back if you decide to use and olympic grip. We love using single exercises because when a person is running there is only one leg making contact with the ground while in motion.

We always talk about macronutrients like protein, fats and carbs. We never talk about micronutrients like magnesium, calcium, zinc, iodine and others. Did you know;... Magnesium helps with brain function, heartbeat, and muscle contraction. It has over 300 functions in the human body. Calcium can be found in dark leafy greens not just milk and cheese. Zinc helps boost your immune system and hormone production. Iodine helps with thyroid hormone production which helps control the bodies metabolism. I could literally write for hours on the importance of micronutrients but I will leave you with this to get you thinking. Studies are now showing the food we eat has an impact on our health, decision making ability, and types of mood we are in. If you think food is just calories in versus calories out you are not looking at the big picture. In order for us to grow and develop as people regardless of age we must at the very least have a diet that is nutrient dense to help protect our bodies and brains from harmful diseases and other disorders. Be proactive with your health, Lead by example. Coach Shane
