This stone fireplace was originally intended to be gutted. The more we thought about it, we felt it was: a) really cool... b) maintained the integrity of the style of home c) went perfectly with the other materials we were working with d) a cost savings What we once thought was dated, now feels fresh and nostalgic, all thanks to some cleaning, and fresh grout. There’s never a straight path to the end result of design, and we’re so thrilled all roads lead to this space coming together as it did.
