November 8th is National Indigenous Veterans Day. Feeling gratitude to indigenous veterans who served the nation of Canada, as an expression of their faithfulness to the treaties their nations had made with the Crown. And feeling sorrow and repentance for the discrimination and fraud that they experienced on their return.

Many of us have a huge love for Naramata Centre and its ministry. Here's a tangible way to support both the Centre and the village community. The It takes a village to save a beach campaign is intended to help the local community to acquire a portion of Centre beach., ensuring that it remains a place for children to play and community to gather for generations to come. Once completed, this shared ownership of the beach will be a clear example of how the Centre and the vi...llage will operate in true partnership for the benefit of all. The Centre is incredibly grateful for the work of the NaramataSlow group and very heartened by the level of support being shown by the local residents, business community and Centre supporters. The Community group advise that as of today, October 16, donations and written pledges total $454,000 and in addition, they are finalizing a verbal commitment of an additional $100,000 which means they are at $554,000 or over 65% of achieving their goal. Will you partner with our local village to help support this initiative? We know many of you already have donated and for that we are grateful. If you haven’t and would like to support, you can either go to the community’s crowdfunding site or call the Regional District at 250-492-0237.
