We just finished off an amazing week!! Our custom training dogs Board and train Obedience, and our Board and train Gun dogs are all doing amazing. I am so very pleased with all of their progress!! 2 weeks ago we started with a green group of 8. They have all mad huge strides this week. Long sit/stays down/stays from 5 to 10 minutes for our pups. Place and the place board have clicked for everyone!! As well as long stays to come to heel on the place board for everyone. On top ...of this our 5 pups who are here for Gun dog training all started Hold condition with week with every one ending the week successfully with long holds. We even introduced wings all the dogs took to them as expected!!! This is one happy little girl who absolutely LOVES to work and please!! We can take absolutely NO credit for this pup. @graylightkennels bred this little beauty who hopefully in the future will a part of our breeding program, and with COVID restrictions making thing difficult to cross the boarder we made the decision for Pepper (Graylights Spicy Talent Of Oak Lane) to stay state side until 3 weeks ago. We entrusted Pepper (FTW Timber Talent x Big Bear Gracie Of Astraglen) wit...h @cedaroakkennels since the end of November. All I can say is Zach did his job and we are more than pleased with how Pepper has progressed, and where she is in training. She WILL be in the field with us this fall!! Hopefully she will also have a title, or 2 to boot!!! As of now all we have done is maintain what #cedaroakkennels has taught her. We can’t wait to move on with this girl!! Well with the foot of snow we have now, I guess it’s safe to say the ducks, and geese have left the area. With travelling to Manitoba, and Alberta not being recommended, and the Canada/US border being closed. I have wrapped my mind around Waterfowl 2020 being over. I got out hunting about half of what I usually do, which is probably tons compared to most. I had so much fun with my home town hunting crew, but really missed my friends from other provinces, and the US coming up.... Here is to great Gun Dogs, And Amazing friends. Waterfowl 2021 you can’t get here fast enough. Now on to deer hunting, and maybe, just maybe late moose!!! With the big snow storm coming this weekend, travel not recommended to other provinces, and the Canada/US boarder closed, I’m guessing it will mark the end of my 2020 Waterfowl season. Had a great day yesterday out at @pheasantpointadventures near Mistatim, Sk with a great group of guys. Thank you @robjungsway.o.t for getting this put together. Hunted over pointers instead of my usual flusher dogs yesterday, and it was nice to watch something a little different working in the field!! It was also nice to be just a hunter and not the dog handler for a day!!!! If you ever have time to do a pheasant hunt I highly recommend giving these guys a call.
