A great entryway takes many things into consideration...space, seating, storage, light, and of course decor! When designing this space that’s just off to the side of the front door, it was important to allow for people to be able to step off to the side out of the way of the door and other people coming in. On the flip side is a large coat closet with tons of space for guests to hang their jackets and keep the space clutter free! #frontentry #frontentrance #frontdoor
Warm grey is back on the top of the trend list this year! It’s actually making me debate repainting MY house! Who is repainting their house this spring for a fresh updated look?
Black & white (or Ying and Yang) are super popular right now especially in bathrooms. Do you find them a bit cold or boring though? One way to add some warmth and interest into a somewhat stark space is to bring in a wood element. This could be done with a vanity, wall detail, or even the ceiling. Another easy way to bring life and nature into a space is through greenery You’d be surprised what a little plant can do for a space!
Black is back and so am I! The past month has been an absolute whirlwind of events, both in business and my everyday life! It’s enough to knock anyone off their feet which is why my posts came to roaring halt ANYWAY!!!! Onwards and upwards which brings me to this post ... Anyone considering a kitchen reno/remodel should consider one of 2020’s top trends: black cabinets! I find a lot of people are scared of black as we were often told it closes in a space. This can be true, however when done properly it can create a statement and a high end luxury feel! See more
Melvin starting to take shape! Excacation done Foundation done Framing now under way! ... Can’t wait to see this house take shape. It holds a special place in my heart!
Loving the use of mesh cabinet doors not only for a unique look but allows electronic boxes to work properly! #3ddesign #3d
New house vibes
Walk-in closet goals! aka dressing room! Everything you could ever need in 1 space. I like to spend a lot of time talking to homeowners how they plan to use the space so we can make it as efficient as possible. Even though this space is ginormous, it was very important to make sure none of the storage was useless. Hands up if you love a good organized space!
I have heard a few people mention they will be renovating their homes by repainting while everyone is in self isolation during this stressful time... The other day I mentioned warm grey is a huge trend this year. We’re slowly seeing the cooler crisp greys fade out, and the warmer shades (that were popular a few years ago) are coming back to create zen and relaxation.
Winter blues but in a good way with this kitchen facelift! From outdated to crisp and modern, ready for this family of 4 (and ) to celebrate Christmas in their new space! Bright and a better use of space were the top 2 on the priority list- mission accomplished! There were definitely some hidden challenges, but what’s a reno without a little challenge! Thanks for allowing me to consult on your project @janeonthego @ Oakville, Ontario
I love when homeowners are willing to step outside the box a bit and get creative with their home! This massive kitchen is framed by a beautiful archway that will be wrapped in either stone (as seen here) or reclaimed brick. The use of 3D software really allows the homeowner to see what the space will look like, and with a few clicks of a button we can change up finishes to help make that final decision. We are now ready to add some colour, backsplash, lighting and really make this kitchen come to life! Stay tuned! @ Oakville, Ontario
Before and After It was an exciting day as we finally demoed this property! Although the original house is just the cutest little thing, it was time to say goodbye and move onto bigger things! Cannot wait to get a shovel in the ground and get started on their beautiful farmhouse! Swipe to see the demo pics or check out stories for the footage! #farmhouse @ Oakville, Ontario
Sometimes we have to scrap ideas, and sometimes we have to work backwards. It’s all part of designing and creating exactly what the client wants. This @nativetrails countertop (a larger size) was the jump off point for this revamped en-suite vanity. The original vanity layout had to be scrapped in its entirety, and redesigned to accommodate. An idea goes to a quick rough sketch and turns into a drawing.... I’m so glad this bathroom has been rejigged twice because the final layout is my favourite! It’s simple, yet functional, and falls right in line with the farmhouse style we are going for! Don’t be afraid to go back to the drawing board (even a couple times) if things aren’t exactly right. I won’t stop until it’s perfect. @ Oakville, Ontario See more
