Our optometrists truely believe that by helping a child in anyway shapes their future. . Did you know that there are still thousands of children impacted by poor sight that goes undetected? . Getting your children in for an eye exam has never been more important than now. With the onset of COVID-19 and the short time frame children have spent the majority of their learning online in close proximity of screens, well we unfortunately are detecting rapid changes in their eyesigh...t. . A tip from us to you: Get them tested, keep them at arms length or more from near devices, limit near demand to less than 2 hours per day and get them outdoors for 3 hours per day. Although not clearly understood, studies show sunlight is crucial in the development of emmetropization or neutral sight. And follow the 20/20/20 rule as much as you can. That is for every 20 mins take a 20 min break and look 20 mins away! Having their home desks set up by a window is also a great idea! . Wishing everyone well.
