~ Easy Greek Lemon Chicken ~ 6 Boneless skinless chicken breasts 1/4 cup O&V Lemon and Herb Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tablespoons lemon juice ... 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 tsp dried oregano or less (optional) 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel Note *cut rest of lemon into wedges Instructions: Place chicken in container or resealable food storage bag. Add lemon juice, oil, lemon peel, garlic, oregano, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Shake in bag or stir in container to coat chicken Marinate for 1 hr or up to 8 hrs. In a large non stick pan put in chicken and all marinade. Heat on medium heat browning both sides of chicken, 2-3 minutes per side Reduce heat, cover chicken with lid and continue to cook 7-10 minutes or until there is no longer pink inside chicken. Thank you Everyone !! It has been such a pleasure meeting you and talking with all of you over the past few weeks at the store. I have loved exchanging all the recipes, ideas on how you use the oils and vinegars, and just getting to know you on a personal level. Today we closed the Cambridge store at 5 which is a exciting and also sad. I have loved being here in Hespeler and getting to know some of the local businesses. I am also very excite...d to start my new adventure in Elmira. For the next couple weeks l will be busy getting the new store ready so online sales will not be available for a bit. You can still place orders but it will take a little time for delivery. I can look at each order as it is placed and let you know if l have the item in stock. At this time l have 3 businesses that are open to be a drop off location for you to pick up your order. I will announce the locations once we finalize everything but you are covered in Galt, Preston and Hespeler. Big News If you havent already heard O&V Tasting Room is relocating to Elmira...Im so excited Elmira is about 30 minute drive from Cambridge just passed St Jacobs (5 minutes) Home of the famous St. Jacobs Farmers Market, Picard Peanuts and lots of unique shops! ... Over the past few weeks l have been getting quite a bit of positive feedback from customers and l sincerely appreciate it Online shopping is still going to be available and deliveries every Monday to Cambridge, Guelph area. (weather permitting) Still working out the details on this! Of course shipping options will also be available. I am working on finding a drop off location so you can still pick up your orders in Cambridge, but this will take some time. We are also going to continue to carry the local vendors products and moving forward with The Tasting Parties The Girls Just Want to Have Fun Group has already shown an interest in booking a night out!! The Cambridge location will be closing Saturday August 29th and l must tell you some oils are getting low. I dont want you to be disappointed so hurry in! The new location in Elmira is set to open Thursday October 1st, if all goes well. Will keep you posted!! Some of you have already been stocking up on oils and vinegars to make it through this transition which is very much appreciated. I got to tell you mom, this is the best chicken you have ever made.... Really? Yourre 18 years old! Well, l had been making the same recipe for years but l did change one ingredient. Recently l have been experimenting with our different oils and vinegars. ... Last nights chicken was made with Italian Herb Fused Olive Oil yes, IT WAS AMAZING !! I made a marinade, no measuring but a little goes a long way. O&V Italian Herb olive oil approximately 1/4 cup Juice of a lemon approximately 1 tablespoon Spices- black pepper, parsley, garlic, onion, salt, pinch of red pepper flakes Marinade minimum of 30 minutes in refrigerator. Can be refrigerated overnight Meal prep! Turn pan on medium heat, add the chicken and all the marinade, its that good! Brown both sides, cover and let simmer until cooked . Approximately 20 minutes. All depends how big the pieces are. A NOTE ABOUT OUR SERVICE OFFERING AND REOPENING! We have been getting a lot of questions about when we are opening back up. We wanted to give you an update on what we are planning. Our biggest challange is that keeping the fusti (big stainless steel containers) away from the customers is very difficult. As such we are working on having all our products pre-bottled so that there is no pouring happening in the store. This is going to allow for a faster and safer retail experi...ence. This is also going to take some time so for the short-term we are going to continue with our online offering and delivery/pickup schedule. We hope this has been working for you. See below.
