Throughout the day our eyelids and lash lines produce natural oils and collect dirt and dust from the environment. These are all things that can interfere with retention, making it very important to remove these things before applying new lashes. Remind your clients to show up to their appointments make-up free; removing eye makeup can take multiple washes which means less time going towards applying new extensions. ! Posting someones pervious work whether it’s lashes, nails, brows or anything else in the beauty community . I’m guilty of doing this when I first started and it makes me cringe. Those kind of posts are long done now. I can not speak for all services, but I sure can for lashes! Writing NOT MY WORK and listing every reason why doesn’t help you at all ( ) What if that’s a new lash tech an...d that person got them for free or paid very little? What if they didn’t follow the proper aftercare? What if they tried adding lashes on themself (not as liking, but I’ve seen it before) , EDUCATE. EDUCATE. EDUCATE. But in a positive way. Post your work and list why it’s good work and what they should be looking for. Show your clients how to take care of their lashes properly! There is times you can do the perfect set but if your client isn’t washing or brushing their lashes, rubbing them, or just straight up ISN’T GETTING THEM WET. Their lashes won’t look good and will end up getting damaged. If your new client comes in with damage lashes, help them. Explain how they should be using a lash growth serum now to help repair the damage quicker. Like i said above, I can’t speak for every service but I’m sure you can replace lashes with said service and figure out a way to educate others. ’ , ’ . ’ , ! ; !

Back at it with the TB photos. It’s crazy that our beauty industry has only been back for 4-5 months and we are shut down AGAIN. As I was writing this, I figured I would check how many covid cases were due to personal service settings...35 SINCE JANUARY in all of Ontario. Out of 140k cases 35 happened while in a personal service setting but we are closed again? This just doesn’t make sense. The reason the number is so low is because every single one of us has taken the ext...ra steps to ensure every person that walks in is safe; cleaning every single surface, making sure everyone is wearing a mask and washing their hands, putting Plexi glass up, contact tracing with covid forms, checking temperatures and much more. Things sure haven’t been easy for the industry this year and we are still being punished with lockdowns even though we are doing our part. But now we have 28 days to focus on our businesses and grow!
