Peppermint has long been a valued herb. The dried leaves have been found in Egyptian pyramids dating back to 1000 BC and the Greeks and Romans knew it to be useful to soothe upset stomachs. Peppermint has been cultivated since the late 17th century and was used as a folk remedy in western Europe to treat nausea, vomiting and morning sickness. Today we continue to use peppermint for digestive issues and it's soothing properties are also known to calm headaches and ease muscle and nerve pain. Peppermint is thought to increase concentration and focus. It's invigorating scent can help clear away brain fog and energize your mental state. Around the home, not only does peppermint freshen stagnant air it also chases away mice and keeps ants and spiders at bay!

The use of Sage as an herbal remedy and sacred oil has been traced back thousands of years. The Greeks and Romans steamed distilled the plant to reveal its essential oil (a method we still use today!) and used it to bless monuments and temples. Ancient Egyptians used Sage to promote fertility. Arab physicians believed that Sage could help them reach immortality! There are so many ways to use Sage in our modern times. ... We can diffuse the oil to bless and purify our homes and workspaces. We can use it to help clear and calm our minds and spirits. Sage can bring wisdom and clarity into complex decision making. Fresh and earthy it just plain smells amazing! OZA Sage pure essential oil is steam distilled from plants grown without pesticides or herbicides. Salvia officianalis from Greece. See more

Lavender. So calming, so soothing, so restful and it's also the most popular essential oil in the world! The modern term "Aromatherapy" comes from a fateful laboratory accident in 1937. French chemist Rene-Maurice Gattefosse invented the word after a burn incident spurned his curiosity about the healing power of essential oils. Upon burning his hand he doused it in the nearest liquid he had: lavender essential oil. He was astounded to discover that his pain calmed immediately and he recovered without any scars! Upon the heels of this "discovery", French surgeon Jean Valnet used essential oils to help soothe soldier's wounds in World War II, which advanced the benefits of aromatherapy.
