As we head into summer, getting out on the OBIEC trails in Lark Harbour and York Harbour is a great way to spend a day with your 'bubble'. While you will naturally spend most of that time not having to worry about physical distancing on the trails, there may be times when you will meet others and their 'bubbles'. Please be respectful to everyone and find ways to maintain the appropriate distance between both groups i.e. find a place to step off the trail and let the others pa...ss by at a safe distance; wait for others to finish going up/down steps before starting up/down them yourselves; wait for others to clear scenic areas/lookouts, bridges or narrow sections before moving ahead; etc.. The wonderful thing is that there is so much nature and space to enjoy, so when you head out on the trails, respect others and stay safe. NOTE - COVID-19 has made it very difficult for us to generate revenue by our normal fund-raising activities. Nature Watch: Currently there is a small pod (3 or 4) of porpoise in the inner harbour in Lark Harbour. The ice in the channel seems to have brought them in for the day and they are swimming back and forth in the deeper middle area.
