Attn Residents of Haida Gwaii / QCI: Due to the persistent rain, there is high water flow throughout the Island. As a result, water has flooded several ditch lines and overwhelmed a few culverts. Excess water is pooling on several sections of the shoulder and the highway. The areas of particular concern are: Miller Creek to Jungle Beach, the St Mary's Spring area, and Towhill Road. ... Delineators and temporary fencing will remain in place for the foreseeable future. Vehicles should continue to reduce speed while driving through this area.
