Chung Yeung Festival, also known as Chong Yeung Festival or Double Ninth Festival, or the Chrysanthemum Festival in Japan, is an annual tradition observed by the Han Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. On this holiday, it is often traditional for families to congregate at cemeteries and pay tribute to their ancestors by worshipping, burning incense and cleaning graves. The festival occurs on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month of the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, that falls on October 25. Please remember to social distance and abide by health authority guidelines if you decide to visit your loved ones at our cemeteries.
