Hello Members and Friends. As we close a very difficult 2020 year in many ways, we are hopeful that in 2021 we will be in a position to launch a full MX and XC season once again. . As we prepare for the upcoming year, we are looking for people who may have interest in joining the OCMC Executive team. The Executive roles are critical in ensuring a successful, safe and fun season of racing, continuing our legacy since 1966. As a member of the executive team you will: - B...e involved in strategic planning that effect the future of the club - Address issues that impact the membership and riding enthusiasts in the local riding area - Have your ideas and thoughts tabled and implemented - Work with an enthusiastic team of folks who only want the best for the OCMC Club Executive Member Benefits Each executive member receives their season membership and their season of entry fee’s complimentary during their time on the executive. This includes any family member on your membership. i.e. spouse/children. The Powersports community has lost a passionate friend and competitor. Gord Gilliatt has passed away, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Gord was a forme...r CSRA Snowcross, Cross Country, and Motocross racer and owner of Podium Grafix near Lindsay Ontario. Gord created the custom graphics and signage for CSRA and many Snowcross and Motocross racers for the past 20 years. His passion, big smile and calm demeanor will be missed every day. His message that he wanted to get out to his friends and fellow racers is this. If you are male and over 40 Years of age pay the $35 and have a annual PSA test, it may save your life Thank you for all the great memories RIP Gord See more

OCMC Covid-19 Update May 22 2020 To All of our Members, Families and Friends. Update to the current status of our 2020 season / Covid-19 regulations.... At this point in time due to the current mandated regulations set forth by the Ontario government pertaining to the re-opening framework set in place, Oshawa Competition Motorcycle Club as a volunteer based organization is not permitted nor in the position to adequately manage the safety measures to engage in any of our usual activities. The executives will continue to monitor and assess as more restrictions are lifted. Once we are provided with more information and confirmed dates by the government, we will re-evaluate on June 30, the feasibility of operating the club on a reduced schedule only with extensive consideration to the safety all of our volunteers and riders. We are hopeful for continued improvements to the current situation we are all facing with Covid-19. In the meantime, please consider supporting our extended motorcycling community across the region that are in the position to open there doors in a controlled manner. These are businesses that rely on our support for income and the continued success of the facilities they manage. It is important that we continue to support this community to ensure that there is place for us to ride now and in the future. The 2020 Mini Pine Enduro is cancelled. It will not happen on May 22. The Ganaraska Forest has decided not to host any events in May and we're glad they are being proactive. To All of our Members, Families and Friends. Since our inception in 1966, OCMC has put the safety of our members and their families first, and will be following the recommendations from our governments and medical authorities regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Based on recent reports from the Prime Minister and health authorities, the ongoing concerns for our community's safety, the need for social-distancing, and recommendations to restrict the size of social ...gatherings, we will be working closely to determine if we have to postpone our season startup activities for 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Below are the modifications we are making - April 1st Mandatory Meeting will need to be postponed until such time as the restrictions are lifted regarding group gatherings - The Late membership charges will be extended by at least one month, depending on how long this restriction is in place - Planned MX Startup of May 6th and Track Prep prior to this, could be impacted, but how much we do not know at this point and we will keep you posted - Memberships can still be placed online which is a good thing, but late payments are expected as we postpone the Mandatory meeting scheduled for April 1st - Alicia is available to answer any question regarding membership, races numbers etc and can be emailed at [email protected] We are hopeful that we will not be forced to cancel any of our planned MX or XC events this season but we will ensure to communicate to everyone in the event that we must do so. Unfortunately the final ice race, March 1st will be CANCELLED. With the warm weather this last week and the dumping of snow it has made the ice a slushy mess. T...here for making it nearly impossible to clear a track. It was a great season and we hope to see you all next year! Please share with friends and family.
