Ce programme offre une formation clinique en équipe à tout le réseau du corps médical du CUSM, qui comprend 5 500 professionnels de la santé. Le don de SNC-Lavalin permettrait d’assurer la formation continue, par le biais de formation par simulation, au personnel médical du CUSM pour les années à venir. The MUHC COVID-19 test centre changed overnight literally! On the evening of Thursday, November 19th, a crew started redesigning the centre and worked throug...h the night to get the job done by Friday morning. The team had a couple of goals in mind: one, to improve patient flow so that people can be tested in a swift and effective fashion, and two, ensure that our staff will be comfortable during the cold winter months ahead. Reconfiguring the centre without disrupting service was a major endeavour, says Lucy Wardell, Nurse Manager of the COVID-19 testing centre. It required people from various sectors of the hospital to not only work overnight from Thursday to Friday, but also on off hours in the days leading up to Thursday. Now, 'swabbers' and clerks work in the middle of the room back-to-back inside plexiglass pods, while patients circle the periphery to go through the four steps of testing.
