When you’re on the cutting edge of flavour, you owe it to yourself to be on the cutting edge of language. When the drip of Strata hops (passionfruit, dank, fresh berry) meets the sauce of Azacca (pineapple, mango, orchard fruit), you know you’re gucci, bordering dangerously on sus. So while yes, this new hazy pale ale is lit af, no cap, and absolutely extra, the glow-up was so extreme we had to flex our way into uncharted nomenclatural territories. Strazacca might not b...e the most clever name of all time, but that doesn’t mean it’s not the GOAT. Hype-beast. Full send. Uh. Fit check? Expect mango and candyfloss up front, with slight herbal hints of dankness and mint leaf leading subtly into a pleasant balancing act of bitterness and silken wheat malts. Spice, sweetness, tropical and traditional flavours all mingling in a wicked mix of assertiveness and sessionability. We’re proud to be taking our mid-ABV brews up into the ranks of high-octane IPA’s, and we’re stoked to share it with you in turn. Enjoy Strazacca Hazy Pale in bottles or in growlers and howlers. Much like December was stranded between Winter and Fall (the backyard firepits weren’t complaining), our newest kveik-fermented lager is caught in an identity crisis between the Albertan Blonde Ale and European Pilsners. On one hand, bready and malt-forward, on the other, crisp and lightly spiced with Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops. On one hand, Mark Wahlberg in Boogie Nights, and on the other, Mark Wahlberg in The Departed. We’re all about that range, and just like that, OCB Gold was born. Whether it be rodeo season or Oktoberfest, plaid-dad or Borat bikinis, OCB Gold is here for your New Years needs and deeds. For our newest NEIPA, we just had to bring Vic to the party. Her friends call her fresh as, and to be honest, we never asked and probably never will. We’ve heard she’s a storyteller, a clown, a downright player, and she can bake a mean crab cake. While that’s still up for debate, what we do know is that Vic Secret hops, grown in sunny Australia, bring more fruit to the party than a bowl of spiked punch, and have a nasty habit of leaving you wanting more. Tricky Vicky melds ...the sharp citrus vibes of new world hops with the classic combination of Citra, Mosaic, and Cascade for a vixenous volley of haze-tempered flavours. Pineapple, citrus, and fresh stone fruit are balanced by a lengthy wisp of resinous bitterness; a final sendoff before the flights board back up and she’s gone with the wind. Some things are too good to last. Enjoy this new NEIPA in the haze of glory today. Patio and taproom are still rocking 12-10 daily for pints and growler fills, with home-delivery options available Wednesday through Saturday.
