Today was an honour for Brother Robert MacGregor and myself to visit with Brother Roy Smith and present to him his 70 year jewel. We also delivered this lovely ...fruit basket on behalf of all the brothers and sisters of Moore Lodge #17. We thank you for all the wisdom and guidance you have given all the brothers over the years. In FLT Noble Grand Jeff Dewtie See more
On behalf of Liberty Lodge 120, IOOF Tatamagouche Nova Scotia. Just a word of thanks for your ongoing support regarding the Christmas Index Program in our community. We thank you all for the turkey bucks that you’ve collected so far, but we're still collecting more so feel free to donate if you wish to! Our drop off locations within the community are as follows; the collection plate at the church, Home Hardware the Crafty Shore or the Train Station. We are having a coat exch...ange this year as well outside of the Oddfellows lodge. Anybody participating can leave their used coats on the rack and anyone can take one if they need it. This is normally held at Home Hardware but for just this year we will be taking it on. We will still be supporting our families this Christmas season as well, with the usual amount being about 35 to 44 families a year. We assist them with their Christmas dinner, food for January and their Christmas gifts. For any Christmas gifts that you wish to donate towards our White Gift Sunday, we ask that you put them in a plastic bag and we will remove them 48 hours after we receive them, or alternatively you can leave them in the regular Christmas bag and we will put them in a plastic bag for 48 hours ourselves due to COVID. We thought it a good idea to save on wrapping paper and tape this year, and decided to use Christmas bags and tissue paper instead. Things are a little different this year because of COVID, but the need is always there and we’re always happy to help and work with the community. We hope that you have a Merry Christmas and if there is anything that you or anyone you know need, do not hesitate to let us know, we may be able to help. We help where we can on a year-round basis with things like our April food run, support for electrical bills, medical supplies, travel cards, grocery cards and clothing. Whenever the need arises we will always try to help those in need or, at least point them in the right direction. Have a Merry Christmas, enjoy the holidays and may God bless you all. See more

As we enter the holiday season, we are encouraging community members to embrace the gift of giving. Drop by the library and take an ornament from our Giving Tr...ee. Each one holds an Appleton chocolate and a suggestion for a donation to the Christmas Index. Your generosity will help to make the season a little brighter for some of our neighbours. See more
Liberty Lodge Tatamagouche has taken on the community Coat Exchange this year. You will find the coat rack at the entry to our Lodge main st.
