Odonatas Originals 15.02.2022

Wow. 2022 already. Time flies when you're creating. My head goes down, the crystals, rocks, metal, and beads all start to whirl around in my head. So many ideas, so little time. And then I have to slow down to do the mundane stuff like preparing for taxes. Sigh. I'm almost finished preparing and assembling all the paper bits for taxes. Soon I can get back to creating. Guess I should post some of my new creations for you too...

Last chance for 2021 ??? Could be. If you want one last chance to see my creations in person then come to the Bowser Legion Grand Opening (7035 Island Hwy W) tomorrow, Sunday, Sept 5 from 11:00-5:00. None of us are sure if COVID restrictions will cancel all the indoor Christmas markets again this year. See you there !

Another fabulous day at Art at the Cathouse. An amazing array of talent showcasing sculptures, water colours, pastels, pottery and jewellery. You have to see it to believe it. Sheena (Cathouse Gallery), Cindy (C Mawle Art) Penny (Penny at White Dog Studio), David (Red Cod Forge), Peggy (www.peggyburkowski.com) and Kyla (Kyla.aitken.3). How wonderful to be part of this show with you!

What is chain maille jewellery? Chain maille jewellery is made by opening and closing individual rings and weaving them together to form various patterns. There are a multitude of patterns with more being created all the time. Chain maille jewellery is based on the chain maille ‘shirts’ worn by medieval knights. Because making chain maille jewellery is labour intensive I only use solid Copper, Sterling Silver, Niobium and Brass. I have attached photos of a few of the steps and some of the many weaves./patterns. I will be adding some chain maille to the shop with prices per inch. Please contact me directly to order specific sizes, etc.
