Odyssey Photography

I have been feeling rather uninspired as of late. So I started digging through older photos again and stumbled upon the series of sunrise image from September 23rd, 2015. What a glorious morning that was by a misty Quarry Lake. I had it all to myself too for nearly 3 hours that morning.

Lake O'Hara. Yesterday was the first time I have ever been to Lake O'Hara. I have bounced around the Rockies for years and years and it always remained elusive for whatever reason. I can't wait to go back with really good weather. It is still a very impressive place.... It was a day well spent. And it ended in a wolverine sighting. That in and of itself was a cool sight. I'm just glad it left my friend and I alone.

Smokey Sunset. I took this a few months ago. Having spent a lot of time on the other side of that mountain at both Tower Lake and Rockbound Lake... This remains my favourite image of Castle Mountain. The day started with almost no smoke in the area and then the wind blew it in just before sunset. ... For once, I think the smoke did me a favour haha.

Soothsayer. An image I took a few years ago on a very chilly night. On my way back home after taking this, one of my all time favourite Buckethead songs came on and I felt the title of the song suited the image.... I hate everything about winter... The snow... The cold... But I am looking forward to getting more shots like this.

Challenge accepted. A friend of mine said it would take another 5-6 years to reach a million photos... The Ryan Kole that used to exist is no more... 180,000 images in 2.5 years... 18 inches off the waist... I WILL reach a million images in less than 5 or 6 years...... That is my promise to all who care. And peaking this monster will be my trophy.
