I once had two woman whom I worked with at SH and considered one of them a very good friend. Tell me I need to change my accent among other thing that was said to me. I was not good enough to take on a supervisor position within said organization. I am happy I never let their negativity cloud my view of myself. We often complain about the way in which our parents parent us as children. We look back with resentment at the psychological abuse we endure daily the name calling such as: stupid, slow, fat, greedy, ugly, dunce, waste of time just like your father/mother you will not amount to anything. These word are engraved in our subconscious, our concept of self is shape by these hurtful words. Our relationship with our world and the world around us is interpreted through the lens we ...see ourselves. We struggle with low self-esteem, and self looting, anxiety, depression, feeling stuck and procrastination. We lack the ability to love ourselves as a result of this. We have allowed men/women to abuse us because this is our normal. let’s BRAKE THE CYCLE OF: GENERATIONAL CURSE Seek counselling to learn healthy coping skills, engage in inner-child work and healing. We know first hand through our lived experiences this form of parenting is not healthy. Let this generational curse stop with us and please don’t parent our children the same way our parents- parent us. It did not work then and it sure as hell not going to work with our children. Let’s start a new family tradition. Let us teach our daughters and sons their worth. Teach them to love themselves and embrace their blackness their caves, and hair. To assert themselves in society and to take up space. Praise and celebrate them. Encourage them to be the best version of themselves.

Never forget how they all helped kill the only black woman at this sleep over!!! #TamlaHorsford On November 4th 2018, 40 year old Tamla Horsford attended an ad...ult sleepover with 7 white women who were supposedly her friends. The "all women" sleepover was eventually crashed by 3 white men. At 7:30 am the next morning, Tamla's badly bruised and beaten body was found in the yard by the homeowner's aunt. Police were eventually called at 9:30am. Out of the 10 people who attended the party, no one could offer the police any answers as to how Tamla passed away. A murder investigation was never conducted, the news refused to cover the story AND her family never received Tamla's autopsy report. The families involved have tight political ties and lots of money. Tamla's family believe they are covering up the murder. The case was eventually closed in 2019. SAY HER NAME- Tamla Horsford.
