Our Office recently promoted one of our Senior Audit Officers to Audit Manager - Congratulations Genny!

Yesterday, the all-party Public Accounts Committee heard from a number of witnesses - including Samantha Hodder, senior director of mental health and addictions services at the Nova Scotia Health Authority - as they followed up on a 2017 auditor general's report that found Nova Scotia did not have a provincewide plan or consistent policies related to mental health. https://www.cbc.ca//wait-times-virtual-care-mental-health-

What an achievement! Darleen Langille was part of a special and small group celebrating 30 years during the Province's virtual Long Service Awards ceremony today. There are smiles under those masks as Acting AG Terry Spicer presented the longtime OAG employee with the award at our recent staff day. Thank you for your years of service - and way to go Darleen!

Congratulations to OAG-NS Audit Manager Cheryl Bauer for passing the CITP exam yesterday! The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential was established for CPAs with the unique ability to bridge between business and information technology. Since 2017, CPA Canada members are required to write a four-hour exam to obtain the CITP credential. Way to go Cheryl!
