This morning at Dawn we remembered the "Diggers" at Victory Square in Vancouver. We have to keep things deliberately small in these times , but it is imperative we continue to Remember those that gave so much.

This Evening , mindful of restrictions, we paid our respects to The Duke Of Edinburgh in Queens Park. Thank You to Michell Bain for the lament. 19 years and 9 days ago we celebrated the life of The Queen Mother just in front of where we stood this evening.

We thought it quite appropriate for the boys to play Highland Cathedral at the Vancouver Cenotaph today, in rememberence of the 85 Million that perished in WWII. This melody was composed by German musicians Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982. Highland Cathedral was the official March of the Royal Hong Kong Police and the favorite pipe tune of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. #wewillrememberthem

Today we observed the 75TH Anniversary of the end of WWII (VJ Day). We were quite touched to see how many people came on their own to pay their respects at Victory Square this afternoon. We placed a wreath made with real poppies picked this morning. Thank you to Kyle and Karthik for piping. #wewillrememberthem

An era ends today, with the passing of the Forces Sweetheart at the age of 103. Vera Lynn was a beacon of hope at "Our Finest Hour" and continued as symbol for Queen and Country. Vera Lynn attended a Royal Canadian legion convention in Winnipeg and greeted the attendees with "Hi Boys"......the crowd went crazy. We Remember

Yesterday Evening, marking the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, members of the Guard laid a wreath at New Westminster's Cenotaph. Reading the Speech from King George which our Queen (his daughter) referred to in Her Majesty s Address to the Commonwealth. We Remember

Our Thoughts and Prayers are with our Brothers in the United Kingdom, as they and the Prime Minister fight this wretched Virus.

At noon today, PST, Our Queen will be addressing the people of the Commonwealth. CBC and CTV will be broadcasting Her Majesty 's message on the Covid Crisis.

This morning we raised the flag from the highest point in Vancouver for flag day. Thank you to the City of Vancouver for inviting the Honourable Guard to be part of this event again.
