I think gasshukus are a great thing to do from your home. So much to learn! (My Gi top did have to come off part of the way through though... My basement dojo is just so hot!!)

Story Time! So last night we had one very nervous little girl come in for a trial class. It was her first night, and she was so scared she would hardly even look up at me, let alone come inside the dojo and participate. I was sure she would be watching class from the sidelines. I also happened to have an entire class full of other girls her age on the floor. Just by coincidence, it was an all-girls night. So what do my students do when they see this other petrified girl out ...in the hall but get up and go out there and try to convince her to come onto the floor themselves (before their class had begun of course!). They were SO friendly and SO welcoming and actually convinced her to come inside and give class a try. I don't think I've ever seen a group of kids be more welcoming to a new student. AND our new student had a GREAT first class, complete with 5 other girls vying to be her partner for the rest of the night. Good job, girls! I'm super proud of all of you!
