PARENTS: Parenting is difficult at the best of times. When we are isolated in our homes, it puts additional stress on the entire family. This may be seen through childrens rapidly changing moods, an increasing number of power struggles and other challenging behaviour. Due to increasing demand, I will be offering online parent consultations on Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6:30-9:30+. Hopefully this will enable more parents to reach out for help after the children h...ave settled down. Please see the services section for further details. Be kind to yourself. This is a very challenging time. Please share with others.

Shift Collab has an interesting virtual workshop tomorrow... "Dating During Lockdown" In a time that people are feeling isolated, it may be a good opportunity to really get to know others. This workshop will explore how to make virtual dates creative, while also ensuring that youre watching out for signs of trouble and navigating boundaries.

This is for everyone who has been challenged with working at home since the pandemic hit. It is really difficult. It can sometimes feel like you are in a fog...or not able to be organized in the same way as before... and this is why! Be kind to yourself. You deserve it! Great advice from Shift Collab.

TO ALL CLIENTS of OHANA COUNSELLING: I am sure that by now you have all heard that New Brunswick has been declared in a state of emergency. As a part of this change in status, the government has stated that all regulated health services providers will cease operations unless the services to be provided are to address essential health care or an emergency health care situation. ... Although mental health care is essential, it does not necessarily have to happen in person. I want to be as responsible as possible and minimize person to person contact. Therefore, I am only offering online and telephone sessions for clients until the province rescinds the state of emergency. For further information on upcoming sessions, please check your email. Take Care, Patti
