LHAE DSA Election is open - Vote for the DSA Executive! LHAE Department Student Association (DSA) 2021 Election is now open. This year, we have six candidates running for the five executive positions. Please cast your vote according to the preferred positions you want these student volunteers to serve our LHAE community. The vote count will be based on the number of votes each candidate gets against the position. To facilitate the voters, we have enabled two options for each candidate. However, the voters can only choose one candidate or abstain. The voting will be closed at 11:59 PM Sunday, May 2nd, 2021. Please note that only current LHAE students are eligible to vote. Thank you. Dr. Christopher Smith is currently a Research Associate at the Center for Ethics at University of Toronto with the Race, Ethics, and Power Project (REP). They are also a Sessional Lecturer in the Program in Women’s & Gender Studies at University of Toronto (Scarborough). They received their Ph.D. from the Dept. of Social Justice Education - Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) / University of Toronto in 2020. Their research interests reside in the productive interstices of Black Diaspora Cultural Studies, Black expressive cultures and practices, Social & Cultural geography, Queer of Color Critique, and Black Feminist theories of decolonization. Their most recent publication Where U From, Who U Wit!?: Black Pride Festivals as Itinerant Hospitality in the special issue Queer Canada in the Journal of Canadian Studies.
